Winning Mark Client Wins National Award for Community College Campaign

Congratulations to our clients and friends at Portland Community College! They just won a prestigious national award for their work on the $374 million bond package that was approved by voters this past November.

The award in question, which was for PCC’s bond information campaign, was from the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations. There were more than 1,700 entries from two-year colleges across the nation.

Winning Mark provided the voter contact and strategic counsel for the campaign. From PCC President Preston Pulliams: “Winning Mark helped us win the largest educational bond measure in state history – a tall order under any circumstances, and especially in November 2008. As the economy went south, Winning Mark was in constant contact, adjusting the message and strategy to respond to the fast-changing political and financial climate. Their role went far beyond crafting the direct mail - they were an integral strategic partner at every level of the effort.”

Winning Mark has a long and proud record of winning support for public funding measures, including bonds and levies for education, public safety, parks, open spaces, libraries and more. To see some of our work in these areas, click here.
